Elon Ain’t Got Enough Juice to Stop OpenAI’s Bag
Elon Musk just took another L in court—judge straight up told him he ain’t got the pull to stop OpenAI from chasin’ that bread. On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers shot down Musk’s request to block OpenAI from switchin’ to a for-profit model, sayin’ he ain’t meet the “high burden” needed to get that injunction. Basically, bruh ain’t bring enough heat to shut it down.
But she did say she tryna run through this case quick, settin’ up a fast-track trial for the fall. She tryna see what’s what before OpenAI make any moves that might be shady.
Musk been beefin’ with OpenAI for a minute now, even though he helped start it back in 2015. He left before they really popped off, and now he mad, claimin’ they switched up—said they was ‘posed to be out here developin’ AI for the people, not just stackin’ corporate money. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman been brushin’ him off, sayin’ Musk just salty and playin’ games ‘cause he don’t wanna see them win.
OpenAI real loud ‘bout this win, sayin’ Musk just tryna slow them down ‘cause his own AI company, xAI, ain’t really hittin’ like that. Meanwhile, Microsoft, OpenAI’s biggest backer, just sittin’ in the cut, lettin’ Musk talk.
Musk’s lawyer tryna spin it like they still up, sayin’ they happy the judge movin’ fast so they can prove Altman took Musk’s money knowin’ it was meant for charity, not to line his own pockets.
This all poppin’ off right after Altman hit Musk with a cold-blooded “no thank you” when he tried to buy out OpenAI for damn near $100 billion. Meanwhile, OpenAI out here talkin’ ‘bout a $300 billion valuation, and SoftBank tryna throw another $40 billion at ‘em. xAI? Strugglin’ to raise at $75 billion.
Musk out here playin’ keep-up, but OpenAI ain’t slowin’ down. Trial comin’ soon—stay tuned.
