The US Continues to Glaze russia
Ayy, peep this goofy sh*t
—the U.S. straight up linked with Russia to vote against a UN resolution callin’ out Russia for the war in Ukraine. That’s a crazy switch-up from how the U.S. been movin’ for years.
Basically, Ukraine and the European squad put up this resolution, and instead of rockin’ with its usual allies, the U.S. decided to be on Russia’s side—on the three-year anniversary of Russia goin’ full throttle on Ukraine.
This all goin’ down while Trump and his folks tryna chop it up with Moscow about how to end the war, and he been real loud with the shade towards Ukraine’s President, Zelensky.
The resolution still passed with 93 votes and made it real clear that Russia’s invasion been draggin’ for three years, messin’ up Ukraine and global stability. It called for less smoke, a ceasefire, and a peaceful way out.
But here’s where the U.S. got funny with it—they put up their own resolution that ain’t even call Russia the aggressor or say Ukraine’s borders should be respected. Instead, it was all vague like, “We just want the war to stop and everybody to be cool.”
Basically, it was tryna water everything down, talkin’ about how the UN’s whole job is to keep peace and settle drama without takin’ sides. And get this—the U.S. didn’t even vote for its own resolution in the end. They dipped out and abstained after folks made changes to make it hit harder against Russia.
Before the vote, Ambassador Dorothy Shea was out here sayin’ everybody, even Russia and Ukraine, should back the U.S.’s resolution ‘cause it’s about movin’ forward, not lookin’ back. But then she straight-up admitted they ain’t support Ukraine’s resolution and wanted it gone for somethin’ more neutral.
Moral of the story? The U.S. just pulled a major switch-up, and now they out here lookin’ real funny in the light.
